Evanston is a collage town in Cook County Illinois. 12 miles North of the Loop, on the shore of Lake Michigan just north of Chicago. Evanston’s commercial districts along with a large variety of housing combined with easy access to Chicago, make it a popular place for filming. In December 2008 it was a location for 65 different films. Home to Northwestern university, one of the largest employers in Evanston. Shortly after its founding Evanston was called “Heavaston” due to its strong Methodist influence. Early in the 20^th century it was called “The City of Churches”
